Trust Pays Program

Each school is developing a program called Trust Pays. This program was based on the CrimeStoppers which has been very successful in solving crimes the police could not solve using traditional methods. This program was developed to help stop crime in schools by allowing students to drop annoymous tips so that the problem can be investigated. In return, the students are given a reward if the problem child was successfully prosecuted. Click on the link above to read more about this great program to keep our schools safe.

How Does My Child Get Inducted Into the National Honor Society?

Arlington High School Chapter of the National Honor Society

Students will be selected to be a member of the National Honor Society by a panel of teachers.  Students may not "apply" to be a member.

Criteria for the selection process:

1)  An overall numerical average of 96.0000 after 5 semesters of high school

2)  Students will be considered in the spring of their Junior year or fall of their Senior year

3)  Students need to have demonstrated leadership and service in the community or school - (verification of this may be asked for from the student)

4)  Students must be involved in the school in some activity outside normal classes  (ie.  newspaper, yearbook, sports, clubs, band, etc...)

5)  Students may not receive ISS or OSS their Junior or Senior year

6)  Students may not have a N or U in citizenship (conduct) their Junior or Senior year

If a student does receive ISS, OSS, or a conduct grade of N or U after they have been selected as a member of the National Honor Society, the student may be dismissed.  If a student acts inappropriately outside of school and legal action is taken, a student may be dismissed from the National Honor Society.  These decisions will be made by the teacher panel and the principal.

Teacher Panel:  Elizabeth Offerle, Mark Collins, Kelly Robinson, Jean Coleman-Flowers, and T’Ann Dixon
